WebIt also could be that the compression fitting you’re using looks like it has SAE threads on the end you’re trying to connect to instead of tapered or ‘national pipe thread’. You can get a compression adapter with the compression nut and ferrule on one end, and NPT threads on the other. Do not use Teflon tape on either side.
