WebJan 10, 2024 · The solution is to add “TimeoutStartSec=3600” to the mongod.service file which tells systemd to kill mongod only after 1 hour if it didn’t fully start. By adding that to the mongod.service, you don’t have to remove the fork: true option from the mongod.conf file.
